Where Screens Learn to Feel Alive
Working on Micro interactions is an absolute joy, especially during the initial learning phase. I kicked off my journey with small micro interactions from an exciting gaming company like MPL, starting with the tiniest details, such as tab bar animations and sleek loaders. These little animations were integrated into the app using Lottie files.
Case 1: First-time user experience banners
Two banner explorations for the same homepage moment — testing how a headline offer reads against a plainer background versus a fuller, brand-forward scene, before settling on the direction that actually gets noticed without overwhelming the games underneath it.
Case 2: Reward chest & gift reveals
Unlocking a reward shouldn't feel like reading a receipt — a locked chest springing open, a signup bonus chest overflowing with coins, a gift box dropping onto the rewards screen. Three different reveal mechanics built around the same idea: make the moment of receiving something feel like it was worth waiting for.
Case 3: Loaders & spinners
Loading states are where an app either feels alive or feels stuck — the launch screen keeps players engaged while MPL gets ready, and the withdraw-status spinner gives a transaction time to breathe without the screen feeling frozen. A small library of loader icon variants keeps the same idle-state language consistent everywhere else it's needed.
Case 4: XP booster activation
A booster kicking in mid-session needs to register instantly, without pulling focus away from the game itself — a quick, punchy animation that confirms the XP multiplier is live and then gets out of the way.
Case 5: Cash-to-coins conversion
A conversion flow that has to make the math feel worth pausing for — coins and a bank icon animating in around the actual offer tiers, so the extra-coins incentive reads as a reward moment, not just a calculator.
Case 6: Payment loader
A payment-processing wait is one of the few moments where a user is actively watching and waiting for something to happen — a small looping mark here does the job of quietly saying "this is working" for the few seconds it takes.
Case 7: Spin & win wheel
A spin mechanic lives or dies on whether the wheel itself feels like it has real weight and momentum — the spin, the slow-down, and the landing all needed their own distinct motion rather than one uniform spin animation.
Case 8: Festive theming
The same homepage moment, reskinned for whichever festival is actually happening — a small MPL logo animation that swaps in a different festive icon and mood for Christmas, Diwali, Holi, New Year, and Valentine's Day, so the app always feels like it's paying attention to the calendar rather than running one look year-round.
